Bkk - Pattaya - Samed Island

on my second day in bangkok, pu and i left her condo around 7-7.30 am with our bags packed for chonburi and rayong. we took the hugely jam-packed mrt and bts to her office.. (they were seriously packed around that hour! -- gosh! it surprised this country girl like me..)

while pu was working half day in the morning, i took bts to sirikit convention center to the book fair. i was there early but still there were some kids around the venue waiting to get in. lots of bookshops lining up the convention with old and new books and colorful creative toys. i skimmed and scanned them as i had limited time in hands. i didn't crave for new books so it didn't take me long to walk around.. about 11 am, i went back to pu's office to catch the bts with her to see ying at the victory monument.. ying was there already, booking the seats and buying tickets for us while we were still in the bts..

we were so lucky to leave early as the mini-bus was not full. along the way, i lied down on the last row of the seats and woke up again when ying told me that we were entering chonburi.. it was a nice nap as i still felt hang over from last night wine.. christ was already waiting for us at the minibus stand.. (he didn't talk much while we were there which was opposite to his wife... seriously, she could be a tour guide as she knew every place from the bus stand to her house!)..

christ and ying booked us a very nice and big room at the golf club. we were highly impressed! thank you again, christ and ying.. after surveying the room, ying left us for her house and she wanted us to take a nap and would come to meet us again at dinner and then we would head to pattaya..

at 5 pm, ying came to our room and brought us to the restaurant in the golf club. the view from our table was gorgeous and the food was plenty and yummy..

after sundown, we headed to pattaya. i requested to go to the used bookshop ying talked about in her blog before. it was a small shop but still managed to snatch money from my purse. yeah, i bought 5 books! and christ bought some too..

after the bookstore we went inside pattaya but i didn't remember which pattaya (north, centrl or south).. christ parked his pickup truck at a mall and then we walked through it to the walking street.. inside the mall, a human statue was sitting near the entrance. he looked alike a broze statue sitting on a chair with a cup and a wok full of money in front of him.. we had to get closer to prove that he was really human.. look! how mean we were!!

..then we walked along the walking street..

after the walking street, we headed back to the golf club. it was not so late but along the road after getting out of pattaya was very quiet, not many cars nor people. we chatted away from pattaya to the golf club..

after dropping us, ying and chirst was back to their home.. the weather was lovely with cool and fresh night air.. we said goodnight and would meet again at 10 am the next morning..

pu and i planned to swim in the pool before having breakfast.. but look! how the morning weather greeted us.. the weather was best suitable for a couple of honeymooners, not us.. we wanted to go out swimming!!

instead, we pulled a chair out to the balcony and sat there chatting while waiting for time to have breakfast.. we had pillow talk, watched the rains, listened to the thunder storms, looked at the dancing coconut palm trees and felt the spray of light rain drops.. i wished i could stop time.. we chatted until our tummy cried for food.. then we move to chat in the restaurant...

entering the restaurant, we didn't expect to see so many people there. we thought we were early.. most of them were golfers - korean, japanese, farangs and some thais -- dressed in full and casual outfit.. and us..how did we dress?.. still in our pjs.. shorts and t-shirts!.. but hey, we didn't really care.. we came here to chill out and have fun.. what we cared was what we were going to eat!.. gosh! they all looked yummy!..

know what? we still chatted and ate until 9.30 am.. we chatted like we hadn't talked before.. seeing the clock, we had to hurry to our room to pack and get ready before ying knocked our door at 10 am..

yeah, at 10 am sharp, she was right on our doorstep.. however, we were ready to hit the road.. again.. it was so kind of ying and christ to drive us to ban pe pier.. firstly, if christ was busy, we would hitch hike there.. it was not a problem at all for both of us.. ;] by the way, thank you again, ying and christ!..

..before leaving the room, khun nai ying wanted to have some photos taken..

getting into the pickup truck, we had a new company to ban pe. he was junior (aka yullyo).. he was a curious and exciting boy.. always barked at me.. actually, it was my fault as i like to stir and excite him when he was going to calm down.. so along the way, he occasionally peaked, barked, smelled and checked on me..

about 1.20 hour (not sure with the time), we arrived ban pe pier. bunch of teenagers waiting to board the boats. we felt like an aunty, immediately.. lucky, we didn't have to wait long.. our boat left the peir at 12 am.. thank god! it was not so hot when we left the pier and didn't look like it was going to rain again..

we said goodbye to ying and christ in front of the ticket counter. she made sure we got tickets before leaving.. as i said she should be a tour guide. she took care of us every step! ;]

next will be our adventure in samed island!!

i love to write all of them at once but opening my shop on the first day, i was bombarded by translation works with very tight deadline.. so i need to do it when i take a break from work.. but soon i will be back.. till next time!!
