My first night in Bangkok..

hello there!

i finally got home safe and sound with empty purse! i still had loads of things to do after the trip, mostly laundry, cleaning and getting back to my old shape..yeah..i've gained few kilos after the trip but you know what? it's so worth it! and i will prove it with my beautiful photos.. there are going to be heaps of them and i don't want you to miss a thing, so i am going to write about the activities on every single day with bunch of photos..

first day, i arrived in bangkok around 4 pm but managed to get my lugguage at 4.30 pm and then hailed the airport taxi to see pu. she was still at work and told me to meet her at the road to her home.. she told me that ying was going to meet us too! that was a great news and a surprise to me. at first, pu told me that ying had to get back to chonburi earlier and couldn't make it but later she managed to ask for permission from hubby to stay in bkk one more night.. so glad that i finally met her in person after facebooking, hi5-ing and blogging with her for a year.. but one thing she didn't surprise me was that she was talkative, funning, super-friendly and held plently of friends' secrets.. yeah, we could spend the whole night talking to her..

after meeting with pu, we waited for ying at a steak house named 'tarnphaikao' (ถ่านไฟเก่า). the place looked so chic decorated with old things the owner could find-- kitchenware, photos, dishes, lamps, etc-- which are rarely to be found now..

pu and i arrived first and ying 20 minutes later.. i brought a bottle of red wine and we decided to open and finish it there. the night was flowing with ying's stories. she was super-talkative and i didn't feel awkward seeing her in person after not meeting her for about 20 years.. i guessed we last saw each other when we were 13-14 years old! we catched up with our old stories first and then old friends' that we knew..

i am a big fan of trying new steak and 'tarnphaikao' didn't disappoint me. not only the steak but also the sausages and other foods that we ordered. we cleaned the plates and got drunk with the red wine. ummm..life is so good......

after the foods and the wine were finished, we decided to leave tarnphaikao. still, we had a lot more to catch up but we could do it when we were in chonburi. while chatting, i asked ying if pu and i could follow her home on the next day to chonburi. we were going to rayong in 2 days, so why not stay a night in chonburi??! i knew she won't say 'no' to us.. then the next day, with pu taking half-day leave, we were off to chonburi.. stay tuned!!
